Accessible Nature: How to Experience a ZENWalk at Hoyt Arboretum
Looking for an accessible, peaceful way to start your weekend? Hoyt Arboretum offers miles of lush forested trails just minutes from downtown Portland. Our next ZENWalk invites you to move slowly, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself through gentle movement, nature-based mindfulness, and guided reflection.
Directions from Portland
1. Take W Burnside Street west from downtown.
2. Turn left onto SW Park Place, follow signs for Hoyt Arboretum.
3. At the roundabout, turn onto SW Fairview Blvd.
4. Park at the Visitor Center lot (4000 SW Fairview Blvd) or nearby roadside spots.
*Pro tip:* Arrive 10–15 minutes early to find parking and settle in.
Accessibility
We’ll follow wide, mostly flat gravel or paved paths—no stairs or steep climbs. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located near the Visitor Center. There are benches throughout the trail if you need to rest. Please reach out if you have specific mobility needs.
